CUVAN® 303 Metal Deactivator

NSF Certified: HX-1, 138995 - CUVAN 303 is an oil-soluble corrosion inhibitor and metal deactivator for lubricants, greases, and metalworking fluids. As a corrosion inhibitor, it is effective in protecting copper, copper alloys, cadmium, cobalt, silver and zinc. As a metal deactivator, CUVAN 303 inhibits oxidation by chelating metal ions that catalyze oxidation. Recommended treat levels are from 0.05 to 0.20 mass percent.

SONGSORB® 1000 PW UV Absorbers

SONGSORB® 1000 is a strong absorber of ultraviolet radiation in the 390 to 400nm region, and has a high degree of photostability. It is a particularly effective UV protector in acetals, acrylics, cellulose esters, PC, polyesters, polystyrene, and PVC. It also provides UV protection to ABS, unsaturated rubber polymers, PU and epoxies, and can also be used in combination SONGNOX® Antioxidants and SONGLIGHT® Hindered Amine Light Stabilizer to optimize performance in outdoor applications. A secondary thioester antioxidant for use during the processing of organic polymers. It decomposes and neutralizes hydroperoxides formed by the auto-oxidation of polymers. It is an excellent antioxidant for many applications including plastics, rubber, synthetic fibers, fats and oils, and petroleum products. It is an efficient stabilizer for polyolefins, particularly PP and HDPE. Product can be used as a synergist in combination with phenolic antioxidants to enhance aging and light stability.

SONGNOX® DLTDP Antioxidant

SONGNOX® DLTDP is a secondary thioester synergistic antioxidant for organic polymers. It decomposes and neutralizes hydroperoxides formed by the auto-oxidation of polymers. It is an excellent antioxidant for plastics, rubber, synthetic fiber, fats, oils and petroleum products, and an efficient stabilizer for polyolefins, particularly PP and HDPE. Mainly used in PE, PP, ABS, HIPS, polyester and polyamide. SONGNOX® DLTDP can be used as a synergist in combination with phenolic antioxidants to enhance aging and light stability. The low melting point of SONGNOX® DLTDP permits easier melting to use as a liquid for dispersing other additives for polymer addition.

It features strong UV absorption, low initial color, good solubility in plasticizers and monomers, moderately low volatility, and excellent compatibility in a wide variety of substrates. It is recommended for use in polyolefins, styrene copolymers, ABS, acrylic polymers, unsaturated polyesters, thermoplastic urethanes, moisture cured polyurethanes, polyacetals, polyvinylbutyral, and thermosetting acrylic enamels. It can be used in combination with antioxidants and HALS to optimize performance in outdoor use.

SONGNOX® 311B PW Antioxidant

This product is a 1:1 physical blend of SONGNOX® 3114, a primary phenolic antioxidant, with SONGNOX® 1680, a secondary phosphite antioxidant, that provides excellent melt-flow and color protection during processing of polyolefins. It affords long-term heat stability by protecting physical properties during storage and end-use applications. It provides gas fade resistance in polyolefins and avoids the negative effects of discoloration resulting from exposure to NOX. Applications include homopolymers and copolymers of PE and PP for the stabilization of fibers, thin films, filled grades, and molded articles. This odorless, tasteless blend is FDA listed for use in polyolefins.

EXXELOR® VA 1803 Modifier

Exxelor® VA 1803 is a high flow, amporphous ethylene copolymer functionalized with maleic anhydride by reactive extrusion. Its fully saturated polymer backbone results in outstanding thermal and oxidative stability, leading to enhcanced weatherability. Exxelor VA® 1803 has an amorphous nature exhibiting impact resistance for the full range of polyamides for temperatures as low as -40°C, offering the best balance between stiffness and low temperature performance in polyamide blends. Exxelor VA® 1803 may also be used to modify the impact characteristics of other engineering thermoplastics and technical polymers (with or without glass fibers, fillers, etc.), and may be used to achieve compatibility between polyolefins and more polar polymers that are capable of interacting with maleic anhydride.

EXXELOR® PO 1015 Modifier

Exxelor® PO 1015 is a maleic anhydride functionalized polypropylene copolymer, produced by reactive-extrusion which is primarily designed to function as a coupling agent by adding polarity to polypropylene matrices and in particular to improve reactivity with amino-silane treated glass reinforcements and inorganic fillers. Exxelor® PO 1015 can be used to achieve compatibility in polypropylene/polyamid alloys, as well as compatibility between polyolefins and more polar polymers that are capable of interacting with maleic anhydride for alloying, recycling or co-extrusion purposes. It also can be used to improve polypropylene-to-metal adhesion properties.

EXXELOR® VA 1801 Modifier

Exxelor® VA 1801 is a mediun viscosity, semi-crystalline ethylene copolymer functionalized with maleic anhydride by reactive extrusion. Its fully saturated polymer backbone results in outstanding thermal and oxidative stability, leading to enhcanced weatherability. Exxelor® VA 1801 has an elastomeric nature provides high-impact resistance at room temperature and at low temperature when blended with engineering polymers such as polyamide. It can modify the impact characteristics of the full range of polyamides for temperatures as low as -20°C (a function of the modifier treat level in the blend). Exxelor® VA 1801 can also modify the impact characteristics of other engineering thermoplastics and technical polymers (with or without glass fibers, fillers, etc.). This polymer modifier can achieve compatibility between polyolefins and more polar polymers that are capable of interacting with maleic anhydride.

Exxon™ IT0136 Processing Aid

Exxon™ IT0316 is an elastic ethylene propylene copolymer processing additive, in a free-flowing pellet form, for use in EPDM formulations. It improves flow in extrusion dies and increases extrusion speed with minimal effect on properties when used at up to 10 phr. It can also be utilized in butyl/EPDM formulations designed for use in innertubes, increasing tack and green strength.

SPECTRASYN™ Ultra 150 Polymer Modifier

LEEGEN® Plasticizer

A blend of sulfonated petroleum product and mineral oil on an inert carrier. LEEGEN is an additive which conveniently incorporates the plasticizer in solution adhesives prepared by open roll milling of the compound base.

MOLYVAN® A Friction Reducer

Used in long life chassis greases for ball joints, steering linkages and other lubricating greases requiring good antioxidant and antiwear at high temperatures for long periods of time. MOLYVAN A is an organic molybdenum E.P. and antiwear additive for petroleum and synthetic lubricants. It has good high temperature stability. In lubricating greases it is superior to inorganic molybdenum additives in both antiwear and antioxidant properties. MOLYVAN A is slightly basic and does not promote rusting. It has a low specific gravity which makes it easy to disperse with simple equipment. It is used in non-petroleum base valve lubricants.

MOLYVAN® L Friction Reducer

MOLYVAN L is an oil-soluble organic molybdenum additive containing sulfur and phosphorus. It functions as friction reducer, antioxidant, antiwear, and E.P. agent. It is used in engine oils, metalworking compositions and in a variety of industrial and auto-motive lubricating oils, greases and specialties. MOLYVAN L is an outstanding antiwear agent. It is quite useful in automotive and industrial gear oils and greases which operate under heavy load conditions. Note: Since oil formulations vary it is recommended that upon the incorporation of any additive the finished product be tested to confirm original test results. In some formulations, the presence of MOLYVAN L may contribute to copper corrosion which would be detrimental to some diesel engines. Therefore, its use in such lubricants is not recommended.

MOLYVAN® 807 Friction Reducer

MOLYVAN 807 offers a unique molybdenum-sulfur combination in an oil-soluble form which is easy to blend into lubricants. MOLYVAN 807 can be used to maintain the antifriction and antioxidant properties of an engine oil while reducing the phosphorus content. To obtain significant increases in extreme pressure properties and impart improved antiwear performance, MOLYVAN 807 can be used in combination with VANLUBE® 7723, a non-metallic dithiocarbamate which functions as antioxidant and extreme pressure agent. Note: Since oil formulations vary it is recommended that upon the incorporation of any additive the finished product be tested to confirm original test results. In some formulations, the presence of MOLYVAN 807 may contribute to copper corrosion which would be detrimental to some diesel engines. Therefore, its use in such lubricants is not recommended.

MORFAX® Accelerator

For NR and synthetic rubbers. Provides good curing activity with adequate processing safety. Suggested for tires or mechanical goods products requiring maximum strength and wearing quality.

NACAP® Corrosion Inhibitor

NACAP is a corrosion inhibitor for water, alcohol and glycol systems. Particularly effective in preventing corrosion of copper and brass. Widely used in antifreeze where it functions as a copper corrosion inhibitor and alkaline buffer. It is an excellent corrosion inhibitor for aluminum in systems where aluminum is used in the presence of copper and copper alloys. NACAP is one of the standard copper corrosion inhibitors for the anti-freeze industry. Used as a chemical intermediate.

BUTYL NAMATE™ Accelerator

This product imparts fast precure and curing rates in NR and SR latexes, and is recommended for use where long compound shelf life is not required.

OCTOATE Z® Activator

VANLUBE® 9123 Lubricant Additive

NSF® Certified: HX-1, HX-2, 135575 - Laboratory evaluations show VANLUBE 9123 to be an excellent antiwear additive and rust inhibitor in a wide range of industrial oils and lubricating greases. VANLUBE 9123 can be used at levels up to 0.5% mass to formulate food-grade products complying with 21 CFR section 178.3570, "Lubricants with Incidental Food Contact."

VANOX® 854 Antioxidant

This product is a specialty antioxidant blend specifically for use in PE applications. It is an excellent process stabilizer and a highly efficient antioxidant for long-term heat aging applications.

VANAX® 808 HP Accelerator

NR, SBR, CR, IIR, and latex accelerator of intermediate strength. Activator for acidic accelerators. Excellent for reclaims, hard rubber stocks and CR cements containing litharge. Latex vulcanizates age well. Also used as a secondary accelerator in CPE.

VANAX® 808 HP Accelerator

VANAX 808 HP is an excellent accelerator for Neoprene cements. It is a crosslinking agent used in chlorosulfonated polyethylene/methacrylate, industrial/household adhesives. The light color associated with this product aids in hiding the bond/weld line.

RODO® 0 Reodorant

RODO® 0 neutralizes typical rubber odors. 1 to 2 ounces per 100 pounds of stock will generally produce the desired results.

SELENAC®, METHYL Accelerator

For SBR, NR, IIR. Also vulcanizing agent. Effective in low-sulfur and sulfur-less heat resistant compounds. Non-discoloring in light compounds. Generally used with thiazoles to balance scorch and curing characteristics.

SETSIT® 5 Accelerator

SETSIT 5 works well in both NR and SBR latexes. This product should be used as a primary accelerator. Additionally SETSIT 5 can also be a secondary accelerator for thiazole activation.

SETSIT® 104EZ Accelerator

A water-soluble/water-miscible activated dithiocarbamate, which no longer requires this additional step of straining prior to use. SETSIT 104, does not crystallize as do other sodium dithiocarbamates, eliminating the need to strain or process the product before use. SETSIT 104 provides all the benefits of the SETSIT product line. SETSIT 104 liquid accelerator is freeze/thaw stable, incorporating easily in to the latex, both when diluted and at full concentration. No preparation or pre-processing is required, making accurate volumetric measurements fast and easy.

SONGSORB® 7120 PW UV Absorbers

SONGSORB® 7120 is a substituted benzoate that absorbs ultraviolet radiation, and through a reversible chemical rearrangement, dissipates the energy as heat. It provides better initial color than benzotriazoles and exhibits a synergistic effect in combination with HALS. It can be used in combination with SONGNOX® Antioxidants and SONGLIGHT® Hindered Amine Light Stabilizer for thermal and light stabilization in outdoor use. Recommended for use at levels of 0.2% - 1% in polypropylene, polyethylene, TPO, PVC, EVA, unsaturated polyester ABS and AS. FDA listed in 21 CFR 178.2010, Antioxidants and/or Stabilizers for Polymers.

SONGSORB® 3260 PW UV Absorbers

SONGSORB® 3260 is a strong absorber of ultraviolet light in the 300-400nm region and has a high degree of photostability. It has a greater absorption of longer wavelengths than SONGSORB® 1000 and better compatibility with polyolefins, lower volatility, and suppressed ionization of the phenolic group. It is less affected by alkalinity, is less likely to discolor with metals, and has less effect on metal driers and metal catalysts due to the higher dissociation constant of SONGSORB® 3260. Recommended for use levels of 0.2 - 1.0% in PP, PE, polybutylene, polyesters, and coatings. Can be used in combination with SONGNOX® Antioxidants and SONGLIGHT® Hindered Amine Light Stabilizer to optimize performance in outdoor use. FDA listed in 21 CFR 178.2010, Antioxidants and/or Stabilizers for Polymers.

SONGNOX® 3114 PW Antioxidant

Primary antioxidant for organic polymers. High performance sterically hindered phenolic antioxidant. Low volatility, good color stability, high-extraction resistance, nonstaining and non-discoloring. For use in color sensitive applications such as polypropylene fiber. Exhibits a synergistic effect when used in combination with phosphite antioxidants such as SONGNOX® 1680 or SONGNOX® 6260. Standard blends of SONGNOX® 3114 and SONGNOX® 1680 are available.

This primary antioxidant is usable in PE, PU, PVC, styrenics, PVB, acrylics, and elastomers. It is effective in reducing viscosity change and gel formation during polymer processing. It provides excellent long-term heat stability, and it protects physical properties during storage and use of the end product. It is non-discoloring, non-staining, odorless, and tasteless. It exhibits a synergistic effect when used in combination with secondary antioxidants such as SONGNOX® 1680. Provides both primary and secondary antioxidant protection for organic polymers. It is an especially effective antioxidant in PE. It is compatible with a wide range of organic substrates and can be used with a broad range of other stabilizers for optimum performance. The high molecular weight and low volatility provide long-term heat stability. This product is nondiscoloring, nonstaining, odorless, and tasteless. It is FDA-listed for use in food packaging adhesives.

SONGNOX® 1024 PW Antioxidant

SONGNOX® 1024 is a metal deactivator and antioxidant for wire & cable, adhesive (both hot melt and solution), and powder coating applications. It is effective in PE, PP, Crosslinked PE, EPDM, styrenic elastomers, nylon, PU, polyacetal, and styrenic copolymers, and can be used as the primary antioxidant or can be used in combination with hindered phenolic antioxidants (particularly SONGNOX® 1010) to achieve synergistic performance.

SONGNOX® 4120 PW Antioxidant

SONGNOX® 4120 is a secondary antioxidant for organic polymers. It contains sulfur, has a high molecular weight and low volatility. It demonstrates low leaching properties, and high heat resistance. It is a better performing synergist with phenolic antioxidant than SONGNOX® DLTDP and SONGNOX® DSTDP, and can be used with hindered phenolic antioxidants to achieve synergistic performance. SONGNOX® 4120 is recommended as an antioxidant for PP, PE, PC-ABS and engineering thermoplastics, but needs to be used under controlled temperature and humidity.

SONGSORB® 2340 PW UV Absorbers

SONGSORB® 2340 is a strong absorber of ultraviolet radiation in the 300 - 400nm region and has a high degree of photostability. Is particularly suitable for application characterized by high surface area, such as films and fibers. Compared to other UVA, SONGSORB® 2340 has a low volatility, which makes it especially suitable for applications involving high temperature processing applications including PET fibers and films, polycarbonate, POM, nylon, polyolefins, TPE, TPO, and coatings. Can be used in combination SONGNOX® Antioxidants and SONGLIGHT® Hindered Amine Light Stabilizer to optimize performance in outdoor use. MOLYVAN 822 may be used to maintain or improve the antifriction properties of an engine oil while reducing the phosphorus content. MOLYVAN 822 is less corrosive to copper than most other organic molybdenum compounds. MOLYVAN 822 is not recommended for use in diesel engine lubricants.

VANLUBE® 81 Antioxidant

VANLUBE 81 is a better high temperature oxidation inhibitor because of its high purity and high p,p'-dioctyldiphenylamine content. VANLUBE 81 can be used in a variety of petroleum and synthetic lubricants where an ashless oxidation inhibitor of good high temperature properties is needed. Effective in silane, siloxane, silicone and diester fluids at concentrations of 0.5 to 2.0 percent and temperatures of 400 to 500°F. In lubricating greases VANLUBE 81 is effective in both oxidation bomb tests and in high speed spindle tests. Siloxane greases containing two percent VANLUBE 81 have given outstanding results in bearing performance tests at 350°F. Has good color stability. Widely used as a high temperature antioxidant in jet engine oils.
