Exxon™ IT0136 Processing Aid

Exxon™ IT0316 is an elastic ethylene propylene copolymer processing additive, in a free-flowing pellet form, for use in EPDM formulations. It improves flow in extrusion dies and increases extrusion speed with minimal effect on properties when used at up to 10 phr. It can also be utilized in butyl/EPDM formulations designed for use in innertubes, increasing tack and green strength.

Vistalon™ 6602 Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer

Vistalon™ 6602 is designed for general purpose dense profile extrusions and extruded hose applications. Its amorphous structure, with a high molecular weight and fast cure rate, makes it efficient for continuous vulcanization operations, as well as molding applications, while providing for improved elasticity at low (-20°C) and high temperatures. Vistalon™ 6602 high and relatively broad molecular weight, combined with a medium diene content, makes for easy compounding and processing to provide for high extrusions rates and smooth surface aspects. Compared to bimodal Vistalon™ 7500, Vistalon™ 6602 has a higher cure state and faster cure rate (even with a lower ENB content), while having similar physical properties, with higher tear resistance. Vistalon™ 6602 also has a higher compound Mooney viscosity, due to its narrower MWD (lower MRA value), resulting in:higher elasticity at high deformation speed (extrusion); lower elasticity at low deformation rate.

Vistalon™ 7602 Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer

Vistalon™ 7602 EPDM is a high ENB polymer with low ethylene content and a medium Mooney viscosity. It has a broad molecular weight distribution for excellent compounding and processibility. Vistalon™ 7602 is designed for extruded applications like weatherseals and glazing seals that require a fast cure tate and good compression set. It may also be used in molding applications requiring fast cure rates.

Vistalon™ 2502 Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer

Vistalon™ 2502 is an amorphous EP(D)M grade specially developed for molded goods and extruded profiles, with the following features: low Mooney, low ethylene, medium diene EP(D)M polymer. ExxonMobil proprietary metallocene based technology allows for precise control of the molecular composition. Offers benchmark low-temperature properties with high cure rate and high cure state. Compared with present Vistalon™ 2504, Vistalon™ 2502 offers a lower ethylene content with similar molecular weight and slightly increased diene content.

Vistalon™ 8731 Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer

A polymer with a broad molecular weight distribution, moderate branching and low diene content, with low level of ionic impurity, for medium and low voltage electrical compounds. The branched architecture of this grade provides easy processing and smooth extrusions. The relatively low diene content provides excellent heat-aging properties.

Vistalon™ 8600 Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer

High molecular weight and very fast curing EPDM in especially suited for sponge applications. Also recommended for use in molded or extruded products applications.

Vistalon™ 7500 Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer

Fast curing grade recommended for molded and extruded goods application. Provides consistant quality of mixed compounds, with improved productivity of mixing, extrusion and molding.

Vistalon™ 7001 Pellets Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer

Intermediate Mooney viscosity, fast curing and fast extruding, tailored MWD, high ethylene EPDM. Used in many applications including hose and tubing, electrical insulation, thermoplastic polyolefins, weatherstrip and molded goods.

Vistalon™ 5601 Pellets Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer

High Mooney viscosity metallocene EPDM for molding and extrusion. Offers superior processing compared to typical narrow MWD grades for smooth and fast extrusions, improved mixing, mill handling and physical properties. Develops very high tensil strength during curing. Applicable for industrial and automotive hoses, extruded profiles and molding. Fast curing, with improved oil aged retention and cure bloom in compounds.

Vistalon™ 3702 Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer

A metallocene catalyst based ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymers designed primarily for roof membrane applications. This polymer, a lower molecular weight analog of Vistalon™ 9301, has a low level of unsaturation, a high molecular weight, and a low level of crystallinity. Its molecular architecture has been specifically tailored to facilitate formulation, processing and conversion into thermoset roof membrane compounds, and is used in low slope flame retardant (LSFR) membrane applications.

Vistalon™ 2504 PE Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer

This low-viscosity EPDM is recommended for molded goods, sponge, extrusions and low voltage electrical insulating materials. It is fast-curing, easy processing, and exhibits ozone heat, weather, sunlight and chemical resistance. It has good low temperature flex, good resilience, and low compression set.

Vistalon™ 2504 EVA Release Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer

This low-viscosity EPDM is recommended for molded goods, sponge, extrusions and low voltage electrical insulating materials. It is fast-curing, easy processing, and exhibits ozone heat, weather, sunlight and chemical resistance. It has good low temperature flex, good resilience, and low compression set.

Vistalon™ 1703P Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer

Designed for wire and cable insulation, this EPDM grade's low level of VNB diene, combined with the need for lower curative levels, results in an exceptionally low dissipation factor during aging compared to other leading dienes. Has an exceptional retention of physical properties. Sold in pellet form.

Vistalon™ 8800 Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer

Oil-extended EPDM grade of high molecular weight with a low ethylene content and high diene level. Developed as a sponge grade to provide short mixing cycles and outstanding dispersion for compounding ultra soft profiles.

Vistalon™ 3666B Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer

Oil-extended grade of high molecular weight EPDM. Can be highly loaded with carbon black and oil to yield low cost, fast extruding compounds. Used to produce low hardness articles, appliance gaskets, shock absorbers, resilient profiles, and hoses with excellent compression set. Compounds have low-tension set and good snappiness. Can be blended with other Vistalon™ grades to enhance elastic properties.
