SONGNOX® DSTDP is a secondary thioester synergistic antioxidant for use during the processing of organic polymers. It decomposes and neutralizes hydroperoxides formed by the auto-oxidation of polymers and is an antioxidant for plastics, rubber, synthetic fiber, fats, oils and petroleum products, as well as an efficient stabilizer for polyolefins, particularly PP and HDPE. Mainly used in PE, PP, ABS, HIPS, polyester and polyamide. Can be used as a synergist in combination with phenolic antioxidants to enhance aging and light stability. SONGNOX® DSTDP is FDA listed in 21 CFR 175.105, Adhesives for food packaging.
